AnVir Task Manager Testimonials

Testimonials of real users.

The program is so feature laden. It tells you where the program is located, useful product information, the security risk, whether or not it’s running as well as several other useful features. The information you can get from the task bar next to the clock enables you to see ‘at a glance’ the disk load and disc temperature, cpu usage and RAM usage as well as the number of services and processes running.

AnVir Task Manager has a huge number of features, and I find it to be a very useful tool. Out of its many features, the one I find most handy are the tray icons and tooltips. They tell me why my computer is busy and what it’s doing.
AnVir Task Manager has so many features, there’s no point in listing them. AnVir is astoundingly useful. For example, on a high-resolution display, you can use it to determine where applications put toolbars, you can generally resize windows (from within AnVir, not just from the optional system-menu additions), you can find out whether processes which are supposed to have tray icons failed to start correctly and didn’t display them, all sorts of things. Agnitum Outpost Security Suite, on very rare occasions, fails to size security prompts correctly, resulting in the buttons being inaccessible. With AnVir Task Manager, I can resize the dialog box so that I can answer the prompt. You would be surprised what all you can do with AnVir Task Manager.

I liked this so much that i bought the PRO version and have not looked back. This is an excellent piece if software, that enables you to see and have control over all your systems processes, i.e. what’s running, what’s starting automatically, how much system resources are being utilized and you have the ability to modify or stop them (use with care here). A very comprehensive and well thought out application, a big thumbs up from me.

Despite it’s wide array of hooks into various system functions (monitoring individual application cpu usage, memory usage, ability to set cpu usage priority level of individual applications, etc.) this app has been completely stable for me, has caused no problems in my system. One fun/interesting thing about this program is that you can choose to have any or all of four monitoring icons be present in your system tray area that can help you get detailed info on what apps are using most cpu cycles, what apps are accessing the hard disk when it’s whirring away and you have no idea why, what your current network activity level is, and what apps are using the most memory. Although I find these mostly just useful for general informational purposes, they can also come in very useful if you are having a system slowdown or bottleneck and you want to figure out what the offending process is.

My advice to everyone: Get this program! I’ve been using it for a long time and it’s great. I recommend Anvir Task Manager to everyone I know.

Very good program. i am using AnVir Task Manager and very impressed by it’s performance. It runs in system tray.
it’s interface looked complex when I first run the program but later I found it very user friendly.
On selecting ‘startup’, it shows all programs ( even those which are not detected by other ‘Start-Up Manager’ ) which start automatically with Windows and security risk analysis (High/Medium/Low/No) of each of them.
On moving cursor on a program in the list, a window in the lower region shows specific information of that program and why it is marked ‘High/Medium/low risk’
On selecting ‘processes’, all processes ( even if it is hidden) which are running in computer and are shown with similar risk analysis. A very useful feature to detect malware in the system.
About 40 days back, this program marked a process high risk (on that time my free antivirus program unable to detect that ) and I was able to block that process and able to prevent eventual slowdown of my system. With new update, my free antivirus program removed that malware just few days back.

Good software to track everything in one window

You’d be hard-pressed to find another program that gives you this much info and control over your computer’s processes, services, startups, etc.

I was so happy with it that I purchased the pro version and am also very happy with that.

Program found many left over Symantec Liveupdaters services ‘RUNNING’ even though my ‘trial’ expired months ago and I thought I had completely removed NAV from my system. They didn’t show up with Windows Task Mgr. (or Sysinternals process mgr!)

I clicked on the drives tab and noticed a file system driver was loading from a program I had previously uninstalled and disabled it. I actually noticed an improvement in bootup time because Windows was searching for a driver that didn’t even exist anymore. I never would have known this without using AnVir Task Manager.

You are going to put several developers out of business LOL. Your single program could replaced Security Task Manager, KillProcess, Bandwidth Monitor and TUT that I have installed on my system.

A very useful tool if you like to keep track of what is going on on your computer. I highly recommend AnVir Task Manager. Support is also great. I had a problem with the Startup List becoming sluggish when opened, and support help me track down the problem in a very short time. (the problem was caused by another program and was easily corrected)

Really nice now my computer starts up faster and I detected two viruses nod32 couldn’t detect!!!

It can even judge what applications are slowing your system and deactivate them if you allow it…
It can also optimize Windows memory administration. And is good for learning how is Windows working. Something that Linux users do know and that make their OSs more user friendly, and less error prone…
If you want to have the feeling that you know what is Windows doing all the time, you’ll find this application very useful. It lets you mature as a Windows user :).

As an informative tool, this would be one of the best tools a user would desire.

The usefulness of Anvir Task Mgr depends on how you use your PC… the average or casual user, with no interest in how their system works &/or system tweaking, will probably find it a waste of time. The heavy-duty geeks will likely prefer the tools they already use, since this program more-or-less just puts a lot of separate tasks together in a pretty GUI. If you’re in the niche in between those two groups, you’ll love it.

My computer was staggering under the weight of so much adware, trojans, and so on. AnVir Task Manager brought it back to life! I now run it weekly and things run much smoother. It's great!

AnVir Task Manager helped gave me a better idea of what is slowing down my PC. I would recommend this program to those who find there comptuer is slowing down (even though it is not because of malicous software or low system hardware) and are not sure what is causing it to slow down.

AnVir
Task Manager truly shows everything runing on the PC. Including Drivers. I've been using this for three years now couldn't imagine being without it.

This little piece of code really showed me whats going on and helped speed things up. Microsoft really should included something like this AnVir Task Manager Pro with their OS. It's very Cool and helpful. Easy to use, show details in description of programs.

Very informative about most of the files on my system and what to do about them. Love the presented page format.

I am very impressed. It’s rare these days for a new tool to land in my box but this one is going in to replace several apps.
I've had so many problems with my computer to the point of getting a new one... I thought my computer was simply obsolete and that it couldn't handle the "newer stuff". I downloaded this AnVir Task Manager and it is unbelievable how well and FAST my computer is. I used to get error messages, freeze ups, couldn't shut down properly, the general goes on. This virus destroyer killed everything affecting this machine. I love the fact that I can change the start-up, it allows me to run the least amount of programs when i start up. This alone speeds things up. It continues to get the well known kleiz virus that is from e-mails. I will definitely buy it. Very simple to use as well. I'm still amazed how fast everything is now.

For the first time in my life I understand what is actually running on my computer, when, why and how, I finally have a way to deal with everything. With AnVir
Task Manager I've reduced the bootup time to a limit I've never thought it is possible, and finally I have an amazingly working computer, fast, smooth and reliable.

This has been a valuable enhancement to my system. I run it almost constantly in the background. It's the best startup manager that I have found, gives me the instant control that I need at the process and service level, and offers a set of useful system performance monitors.

The reason I use Anvir Task Manager, is because it allows you to monitor disk and processor usage in the system tray, and I have found that disk activity quite often is a better indicator of an annoying process than processor usage. And Anvir Task Manager makes it quite easy to sniff out the culprit, since hovering the mouse over the icon gives a list with the 'heavy users'.
